Vanessa Pearson - Associate, Dispute Resolution

As an Associate in the Dispute Resolution group, Vanessa advises companies and individuals on a broad range of disputes across the creative industries.

Having qualified as a solicitor in 2024, Vanessa joined Lee & Thompson in 2026 following her time in the Dispute Resolution team at a regional law firm in the Thames Valley, having previously completed qualifying work experience across litigation, commercial law, private client work and intellectual property.

Before completing her GDL and Master’s in Legal Practice, both with Distinction, Vanessa achieved a First Class Bachelor’s degree in Modelmaking and worked professionally as a modelmaker. This sparked her interest in IP from a creative’s point of view. Vanessa has a particular interest in copyright and her postgraduate research project focused on the adequacy of copyright in the digital age. More recently, Vanessa completed a Diploma in Intellectual Property & Collections with the Institute of Art & Law.

Vanessa is an associate member of the Art Lawyers Association.
