Alastair Mavor, a Partner in our film & television team, was invited by the BFI’s Global Screen Fund to run a session last week in Belfast on international co-production agreements and the “How To’s” of closing finance on complex multi-party films.

Attendees included independent producers across the live action, animation and documentary sectors.

The Global Screen Fund was founded to boost international development, production, distribution and promotional opportunities for the UK’s independent screen sector and has a number of different awards for UK producers, including a co-production strand which contributes up to £300,000 per project towards UK producers for international co-productions.

Alastair previously spoke at this workshop in 2023 (in Glasgow) and 2024 (in Cardiff) and regularly advises producer clients on both film and television co-productions.
