L&T hosts second adtech summit for advertising publishers, Publisher Perspectives

24th October 2025

We were thrilled to host the second edition of “Publisher Perspectives”, a unique all-day summit for advertising publishers exploring the rapidly evolving adtech industry.

The event brought together around 50 key voices from the publishing world into our office to offer a space for lively discussions about the industry’s current landscape and the trends which we can expect going forward.

L&T partner Nick Swimer joined Tom Pickworth, Director of Technical Operations, Commercial at Metro Mail Media, on a panel called “Power, Privacy, and Publisher Control: Untangling the Rules of the Open Web”, discussing privacy, the regulatory landscape and what may be coming down the pipeline in relation to the programmatic advertising ecosystem.

Other sessions explored the impact of AI on publishing, separating real innovation from hype, and strategies to turn traffic losses caused by generative-AI search changes into new revenue opportunities, as well as how publishers can reclaim control in the open advertising market through smarter data use and deal strategies, while another session exposed the growing threat of ad fraud and practical ways to combat it. The day concluded with an examination of the metric that truly drive advertiser spending, helping publishers understand how to better demonstrate and monetise their value.

We hosted the summit in collaboration with JobsInAdtech.com‘s Jon Walsh and LinkMeConsulting‘s Steve Beckwith. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions at the end of each session as well as network between the sessions.
